Jim Mortenson

Chief Technical Officer

With more than 30 years of professional management and technical achievements in the software and technology industry, Jim Mortenson serves as Chief Technical Officer at Ontario Systems and held this role at Justice Systems since 2008. In this role, Jim focuses on all aspects of the software development lifecycle, and management of professional service contracts.

Prior to joining Justice Systems, he co-founded and operated a software consulting business, managing more than $6 million in software professional service contracts for high-profile companies, including Intel, Motorola, EarthLink, Nortel Networks, Symantec, and McAfee. He also managed a platform restructure for a J2EE/Oracle based messaging service which increased scalability from 1,000 to over 100,000 concurrent users in less than five months.

Tessa Rye

Tessa Rye

Director

Tessa Rye serves as Director at Ontario Systems, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience with Justice Systems as the Training and Customer Support Manager and Product Manager. Throughout her time with Justice Systems, she has been involved in training, system analysis and business process engineering consultations for courts of all levels of jurisdictions and size, and currently focuses on overseeing software telephone support, as well as the production of product documentation and training materials. She continues her role at Ontario Systems as a key player in the direction of product and business development.

Prior to joining Justice Systems, Tessa worked as a bailiff, relief clerk, and court clerk and during that time assisted in the implementation and training of new software which provided her invaluable experience and insight into the needs of today’s modern court systems. Tessa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from Idaho State University.
